Kuala Lumpur to Singapore High Speed Rail

Travel between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore city centres in only 1.5 hours!

This WEBEO explores the possibilities of a high speed railway line connecting Malaysia’s capital with the financial hub of Singapore in only 1 hour and 30 minutes on trains travelling at speeds up to 350 km/h. The two cities have the potential to connect into one economic zone, but currently no high-speed line links the urban and rural communities into a unified link. This project aims to boost the economies of the two global cities and spur development in satellite towns across southeast Malaysia.

The line is mostly 2-track brand new segment, on a mixture of viaducts and ground-level segments. In Kuala Lumpur, high-speed trains will replace the KLIA express and will operate on their tracks at speeds of 250 km/h. Some trains will be non-stop between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, but others will stop in places in between, enhancing the local connectivity of the line and potentially spurring urban development away from the overcrowded cities.

Line Length = 387 km
Top Speed = 350 km/h
Travel Time = 1 hr 30 min on nonstop service

Stations (CAPS = ULTRA HIGH SPEED STOPS): KUALA LUMPUR, SENTRAL, Putrajaya, Airport Junction, Seremban, Malacca, Ayer Hitam, Kulai, Johor Bahru, Sengkang, and SINGAPORE CITY HALL.
