Texas High Speed Rail

9 September, 2016

The lone star state gets a massive boost in its lone intercity line!

This WEBEO draws out a possible alternative for a high speed railway line connecting Dallas to San Antonio, via the Interstate 35 corridor. Such a line will mostly follow existing goods corridors, but the alignment will have to be upgraded to at least three tracks to allow operation of high speed electric tilting trains and the goods trains, both of which will keep Texas churning in the 21st century. The line is relatively uninvasive when compared to building a completely new alignment, and the top speed of the line is 300 km/h (187.5 mph).

Stations (Express Stops in ALL CAPS): DALLAS, Arlington, FORT WORTH, Hillsboro, Waco, Temple, Round Rock, AUSTIN, New Braunfels, San Antonio Airport, SAN ANTONIO.
