Harrisburg to Pittsburgh High Speed Rail

4 September, 2015

Bridge the Appalachian Gap in my longest Webeo yet!

In this Webeo, I connect the Northeast and Midwest, politically and geographically, through a new high speed rail link through the Appalachian Mountains, connecting Harrisburg with Pittsburgh. The line will include a few tunnels and a top speed of 300 km/h, much of which is brand new track. This is the cheapest solution I could come up with, but still very expensive and time consuming to build; I do not foresee this being completed any time in the foreseeable future.

The line will have speeds between 200 and 300 km/h and will have stops at Lewistown, State College, Altoona, Somerset, Greensburg, and Pittsburgh.
