Philadelphia to Harrisburg High Speed Rail

14 August, 2015

Traverse half the state in half an hour!

In this WEBEO, I propose the alignment for a high speed railway line from Philadelphia 30th Street Station to Harrisburg, with stops at Downingtown, Lancaster, and Middletown. The line will be electrified with speeds of up to 300 km/h (187.5 mph)! Most of the line will be built on the existing Keystone Corridor, except a few tight sections in Chester and Lancaster counties which will have to be on new alignments. This line is crucial to connecting Harrisburg and the mid west, with New York, Philadelphia, Boston, and beyond.
