Pittsburgh to Columbus High Speed Rail
13 November, 2015
A southwest expansion to Webeo's extensive high speed network!
In this Webeo, I propose an electrified high speed railway line connecting Pittsburgh PA to Columbus OH. The route will use the Cleveland High Speed Line alignment until Rochester, where it deviates. The line will then "flow" along the Ohio river to Steubenville, OH, and then continue along the existing track, which will be upgraded through both curve straightening and elimination of grade crossings. In addition, there are four tunnels along the route which will enable maximum possible speed, or between 200 and 300 km/h (125 to 187.5 mph).
Intermediate stops are at Newark and Port Columbus Airport.
