Where will the New School Be?
The Build a Third Middle School Campaign advocates for the construction of a new secondary school in Upper Macungie Township.
Upper Macungie Township is the fastest-growing locality of the Parkland School District, and includes the communities of Fogelsville, Breinigsville, and Trexlertown. The township is not home to a single middle school, and students are currently forced to travel 20-30 minutes to Springhouse Middle School.

Construction of a Middle School in Upper Macungie Township will finally provide hundreds of students with a secondary school within 5 minutes of home.

About the Tamerler Tract

The Tamerler Tract is centrally located in Upper Macungie Township. The 96-acre property provides ample room for a middle school, its outdoor facilities, and some open land for future expansion. It is located adjacent to the Grange Community Park, which currently serves as a meeting-place for community members of all ages.

Importantly, the district already holds a $2000 deposit on the property, so transfer of the property from the township to the district is readily feasible.
The tract is located only 3 miles away from Breinigsville. This is 5 miles closer than Springhouse, and 6.5 miles closer than Orefield.

Additionally, the tract has easy access to major roads like Tilghman Street and the Route 222 Bypass, both of which travel to the quickly-growing neighborhoods in Breinigsville.

The construction of a middle school on the Tamerler Tract will improve the lives of hundreds of students as they will finally have smaller, more interactive classes within minutes of home.
